EDG grant for website or app development in Singapore

Eligible Singapore SMEs may fund part of a digital project through the Enterprise Development Grant (EDG). Check eligibility before you ask any studio for a quote, because the rules about timing are strict.

We are a vendor, not an advisor. This post is general information from Enterprise Singapore's published rules as we last checked them in October 2026. Confirm with Enterprise Singapore or an adviser before you commit.

What to check first

  • Timing. Do not start work or pay a deposit before you apply. Work done before approval is generally not supported.
  • Applicant. The company applies itself. Third parties cannot apply for you.
  • Ownership. There is a local-ownership requirement. Check it first.
  • Cap and reset. There is a yearly support cap per company that resets each year.
  • Reimbursement. Support is paid after the project is completed and verified, so plan your cash flow.

What this means for a website or app project

A project has to fit the grant's purpose and be scoped clearly, so a quote with defined deliverables helps. Ask any vendor, us included, for a scope you can attach to an application, not a verbal estimate.

Check yourself first

Our free Fund Your Build checker walks through the questions and tells you whether a project may be eligible. It does not apply for you and is not advice.
